The story of Peculiar Pillow is not an unfamiliar one. Like many, I love to decorate my home! Some people (my husband) may even say a little too much! With so many seasons, holidays, events and more; how can they blame me? Who does not love a fresh new look or adding a splash of festivity for the season?
I have been captivated by home design since I was a little girl. Always rearranging my room into a new look, fascinated by different styles and decorating ideas. As a teen, I loved watching those makeover shows on TV. Over time, my interest has turned into an obsession to better my designs and gain new experience so I can continue growing. The design world is ever changing and so I must too! Expanding my creativity, exploring the unknown, and always searching for the next inspiration.
Over the years my love and understanding for design has only gotten deeper. Each new style, color combination, or technique shaping me. It wasn’t long before I realized how much I wanted to be able to offer a solution to build a new look without having to spend thousands of dollars or demolish you existing living areas. I wanted to offer a more subtle solution. One that was affordable and easy to enact. I begin researching the possibilities, of which there were many. So many odds and ends, candles and lamps, blankets and throws. It wasn’t until I opened my linen closet, a mountain of pillows cascading towards me, that the light bulb went on. A pillow for every occasion! Pillows are the unsung hero of your homes design. Pillows are a great place to rest your head and add some comfort of home to any room. They can be used to add color accents, celebrate events, decorate for holidays, but most importantly they are the perfect way to add subtle personality to your home while keeping the flow of your interior design.
